Exciting Career Opportunities with Barker Parry Town Planning

Tate is delighted to be exclusively partnering with Barker Parry Town Planning to support their exciting growth plans. As part of this journey, we're looking to appoint Town Planners at Senior, Principal, and Associate levels who are ready to contribute to the future success of this successful and award winning business. They will also consider people on a case by case basis who are interested in a role above these levels if a suitable candidate comes forward.

Based from SG5, Hertfordshire, Barker Parry delivers high-quality planning services across England, working on projects of all sizes and complexities. They challenge the perception that smaller consultancies only handle local or small-scale work - offering you the opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact schemes in a collaborative and agile environment. And, for more qualified Planners, the autonomy of owning your own profile of work and developing your client base.

Why Join Barker Parry?

Barker Parry is committed to investing in your future. In return for your dedication, they offer bespoke progression pathways tailored to your career goals. Whether you're stepping into a Senior, Principal, or an Associate role, you'll experience supportive, forward-thinking leadership that values your growth.

We have various positions available for Town Planners of Senior, Principal and Associate level:

You will be involved in a wide range of planning projects and liaison with associated stakeholders from householder to large-scale commercial developments, both locally and country wide.

Accomplished, qualified Principal and Associate Planners will enjoy 360 ownership of their projects, from initial client instruction through planning design and advice, presenting to committees, submissions and managing appeals to successful outcomes. You will develop your future business pipeline and long-term client relationships.

Senior Planners will work closely with colleagues to process enquiries, applications, work on local plans and appeals while developing more experience through practical work in the industry, working towards RTPI qualification and future promotion.

All staff contribute to business development, by way of networking to promote the business and service and by sharing topical industry and legislative content and project outcomes to educate prospective clients of the services and outcomes Barker Parry can achieve.

More detailed job descriptions are available and will be shared for appropriate levels.
