About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical/ Instrument Plant Engineer on our Manufacturing Site. This is a full-time permanent position where the successful candidate will have responsibility to investigate, plan, organise and implement a program of technical work to maintain and improve Information technology, engineering maintenance and plant operations.
This is an excellent time to join our dynamic team as there will be substantial responsibility from day 1. The role involves developing, defining and monitoring maintenance standards to ensure compliance with existing, new and future codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing maintenance standards to ensure compliance with existing, new and future codes and regulations
* Preparing specifications and scopes of work for purchasing, overhauling and modifying plant equipment
* Investigating, reporting and recommending solutions for specific plant problems to improve safety, reliability, efficiency and costs
* Managing minor modifications, design packages and projects, particularly focusing on capturing changes to plant systems and records to ensure long-term sustainability
* Acting as an inspection, quality control and supervisor during turnarounds, project installations and commissioning activities to satisfy programs and objectives, as well as legal responsibilities
* Acting as the Vynova Runcorn DCS focal point to ensure equipment and services are maintained in accordance with business and site requirements
* PR/Technical Duty Manager out of hours
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Minimum HNC or degree in Electrical/Instrument/Control Engineering
* 5+ years experience in the chemical field
* Teamwork and integration skills
* Full clean driving license
