Location: Shoreham-by-Sea
Working hours: 30 to 37.5 hours per week - open to any Part Time/ Flexible working requests.
Hybrid working: typically 2-3 days onsite, but flexible as needed.
Salary Range: £42-46k dependant on experience
Responsibilities:
· Preparation and release of Work Instructions detailing critical assembly operations and characteristics.
· Make improvements to current operations to enhance efficiency and process capability.
· Drive the standardisation of processes and best practices.
· Respond to and resolve equipment/tooling breakdowns.
· Planning and organisation of maintenance and calibration activities.
· Perform analysis of test cell failures to determine root cause & develop corrective actions.
· Perform analysis of manufacturing defects / process failures to determine root cause & develop corrective actions.
· Assist in activities relating to new products, equipment, processes, and procedures.
· Develop DFM, working closely with Design.
· Maintain KPI targets in line with business strategy.
Skills & Experience:
· HNC or above in Manufacturing, but other engineering sectors will be considered.
· Recommended 3 years' experience working in a production/manufacturing environment.
· Sound knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies and systems.
· Knowledge of Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing techniques.
· Experience using 2D & 3D CAD software.
· Cross-functional business team environment experience preferred.
· Proven ability to self-manage and deliver on time to budget.
· Excellent inter-personal skills to build relationship internally and externally.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Reliable and flexible in their approach.
Desirable but not essential:
· Previous experience working with an MES and DC Tooling would be advantageous, however not essential.
· Knowledge of machining processes such as Milling and Turning to help support the Supplier Quality Team in route cause analysis.
· Previous experience working with engine test cells would be seen as beneficial.
