Mechanical Engineer – FM Service Provider –Pharamamaceitical - No Call outs – Cambridge – up to £46,000 per annum CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting an Mechanical Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical site in Cambridge.
This site is a modern, state-of-the-art facility with multiple specialist areas and cutting-edge equipment.
This site operate within 40 different countries.
You will be part of a medium sized team, of 12 engineers who know the site inside out and will help you get up to speed quickly.

Key duties & responsibilities
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including air-handling units, chillers, boilers, and ventilation systems.
* Ensure proper temperature, humidity, and airflow in critical areas such as laboratories.
* Oversee maintenance of plumbing systems, hot water systems, pumps, and medical gas infrastructure.
* Monitor and optimise performance of the plant, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and heat exchangers.
* Manage energy use and contribute to efficiency improvement strategies.
* Work closely with facilities management, clinical departments, bio-medical engineering, and contractors.
* Provide technical guidance to maintenance staff and contractors on mechanical system issues.
* Escort sub-contractors around site.
* to make sure the maintenance and log books are filled out correctly.
Requirements:
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, heating/cooling equipment, pumps, and ventilation.
* Level 2 or 3 in mechanical engineering
* Previous experience in a hospital, medical facility, or critical-care environment preferred.
* Knowledge of Steam boilers, chillers, heat exchangers, and central plant operations
* General Knowledge of mechanical systems.
* Plumbing, hot water systems, and sanitation infrastructure.
