Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your hospitality skills will shine as you manage reservations, greet guests, coordinate seating arrangements, take orders, make and serve drinks and clear& clean tables in a busy pub environment.
Duties
* Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly attitude.
* Assist in seating guests promptly while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
* Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
* Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
* Monitor dining areas for cleanliness and readiness, addressing any issues promptly.
* Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
* Uphold food safety standards by ensuring proper handling of menus and utensils.
* Make & Serve Drinks to ensure the perfect pour
Requirements
* Previous bar/pub/restaurant experience is preferred, showcasing your familiarity with the hospitality industry.
* Strong time management skills to efficiently handle busy periods while maintaining guest satisfaction.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to engage effectively with guests and team members.
* A keen understanding of food safety practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
* Basic math skills for managing reservations and waitlists effectively.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: Up to £12.42 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
