Base pay range

Salary: £50k+ (dependent on experience) + annual bonus & benefits

Location: Edinburgh, Permanent

Office Attendance: Our roles are hybrid; you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office, 2 days per week.

Role overview

We’re looking for a Tax Reporting Manager to join our Insurance and Money Services team.

You’ll have exposure across the Finance function, ensuring the integrity of all tax reporting outputs. Responsibilities include delivering accurate tax accounting and reporting in accordance with HMRC guidance and legislation within a controlled environment.

This role suits someone with a track record of ownership over key reporting outputs, ability to interpret complex requirements, and a desire to grow as a key business contact.

Key stakeholders include the Senior Technical Reporting Manager, Head of Financial Control, Product and Cost Finance teams, Tesco Group, and external auditors.


Responsibilities

1. Preparing monthly corporation tax and VAT journals.
2. Assisting with year-end corporation tax returns and reporting.
3. Supporting quarterly VAT returns and tax accounting across the business.
4. Building relationships with key stakeholders in Finance, Risk, Legal, and other teams.
5. Proactively managing risks within tax reporting and ensuring compliance with policies.


Requirements

* Professional accountancy or tax qualification.
* Audit experience is advantageous.
* Proactive attitude, with a desire to learn.
* Ability to build relationships across Finance functions.
* Experience in tax reporting, HMRC regulations, and financial services is a plus.
