About the job Senior Electronics Engineer
Weare looking to recruit an exceptional Electronics Engineer with extensiveproduct development experience to join a top technology design consultancy within variousmarkets including: medical, aerospace, renewable energy, automotive, consumerproducts etc.
Youwill be challenged with a broad range of often complex technical challenges, soyour analogue and digital hardware design skills will need to be excellent. Youwill be required to take on technical leadership roles, liaising directly withour clients, as well as work package and/orproject managementresponsibilities.

Responsibilities
* Developspecifications and test documents for electronic and electromechanical products.
* Developarchitectural designs, including hardware/software partitioning.
* Undertake designfeasibility studies and investigations, identifying and evaluating newtechnologies.
* Develop analogueand digital electronic circuit schematic designs, and then manage and overseethe generation of PCB designs.
* Participate inpeer reviewing of designs.
* Manage prototypemanufacture, testing (including EMC testing) iterative design refinements, thenmanufacturing support and liaison with the customer or their preferredmanufacturer.
* Contribute toplanning multidisciplinary projects at a detailed task level, defining tasksand their relationships, and estimating their durations and work content todevelop development budgets.
* Manage theelectronics work packages in multidisciplinary projects, monitoring andcontrolling performance against deadlines and budgets, reporting to projectmanagers and liaising with other project teams.
* Potentiallymanage multidisciplinary projects, monitoring and controlling performance againstdeadlines and budgets, and reporting to project directors.
* Participate inthe sales process, meeting new clients and then preparing quotations forpresentation to the client.
* Potentially workon multiple projects at the same time.
* Providetechnical design guidance to engineers from other disciplines inelectromechanical projects, and other engineers within the electronics team.
Candidate Profile
* A first or uppersecond class broad-based Electronic Engineering honours degree from awell-established university with a strong electronics reputation (or equivalentqualification).
* At least fiveyears’ experience working as a hardware design engineer.
* Strong provenability in electronic design with a broad range of analogue and digitalelectronics design experience.
* Goodcommunication skills, both verbal and written. You will need to communicateconfidently and persuasively, both in formal presentations and in less formalclient and supplier liaison situations. Written reports, quotations and other documentswill need to be produced accurately and in a well-written and well-presentedform.
* An ability to assimilate new knowledge and information, and to learn and use new skills. Awillingness to learn and try new things that you may have previously consideredout of your field.
* Self-motivationand the ability to work on your own initiative.
* The ability toaccurately plan the electronics development portion of projects, estimatingdevelopment costs and timescales as well as final product costs.
* The ability tooperate well under time deadlines and within fixed development budgetswhilepotentially balancing the requirements of multiple concurrentprojects.
