ABOUT YOU As the Materials Laboratory Supervisor, you will maintain accreditation and quality compliance, manage client relationships, and ensure laboratory operations align with strategic, commercial, and operational objectives. Required skills and experience: Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent relevant experience). Demonstrable experience working within a wet laboratory environment. Experience managing people, resources, and laboratory operations. Knowledge of ISO 17025, BS6920 and UKAS accreditation processes. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY You will be operating within a wet laboratory environment, the role ensures the effective planning, execution, and oversight of chemical and biological testing in accordance with applicable standards and ISO 17025 requirements. Key activities: Plan, prioritise and coordinate laboratory activities to ensure delivery against business and project deadlines. Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle management, ensuring quality, turnaround times, and reporting standards are achieved. Monitor operational KPIs and provide structured daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting to senior management. Produce management data relating to engineering capacity, utilisation, and financial performance. Maintain compliance with ISO 17025 and UKAS accreditation requirements. Build and maintain strong customer relationships across the project lifecycle. Provide technical guidance to operations, sales, and marketing teams. Provide effective line management, including performance management, one-to-ones, and development planning. Foster a high-performance, safety-first laboratory culture. Practical understanding of ISO 17025 and UKAS accreditation requirements. Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and product compliance standards.
