Role: Workshop Storesman

My client is an energy business with exciting growth plans over the next 5 years. They are seeking a motivated individual to join their team.
Their technology is trusted by major organisations across construction, infrastructure, broadcasting, and utilities. As they expand across the UK and internationally, in collaboration with a leading global energy technology company, this is an exciting time to join. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Workshop Storesman to support operations in Matlock.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain the R&D site workshop, ensuring a safe operating environment for staff, sub-contractors, and visitors, including general housekeeping activities.
* Manage waste, including general waste and recycling of metals and electrical components.
* Control stock of R&D parts, organise goods inwards and outwards, handle logistics of deliveries and collections, and manage inventory of components required for concept verification.
* Build prototype electrical panel assemblies, validate designs, and work closely with R&D Engineers to find innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
* Assist in design work by contributing to early-stage concept development through to serial production design freeze.
* Arrange for sub-contractors to carry out works on-site, aligning with project timelines and other on-site activities.
* Work as part of a dynamic, fast-moving team to help deliver programme objectives and support various tasks in an agile environment.

* Understanding of electrical safety procedures and protocols.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and reporting on project progress.
* Aptitude for diagnosing electrical issues, implementing solutions, and adapting to changing project requirements.
* Demonstrable practical experience.
* Excellent team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment, helping to turn designs into reality.
