About us
You know Next, but did you know we’re a FTSE-100 retail company employing over 35,000 people across the UK and Ireland. We’re the UK’s 2nd largest fashion retailer and for Kidswear we’re the market leader. At the last count we have over 500 stores, plus the Next Online and it’s now possible to buy on-line from over 70 countries around the world! So we’ve gone global!
Your role
Join our Finance team and get behind the brands you know and love.
You'll sit within our Label & New Business Finance Team, working closely with both finance and non-finance teams to assess profitability, challenge costs, and provide insight that drives better decision-making. It’s a mix of financial analysis, management accounts, and business partnering – and you'll have a direct impact on how our third-party brands perform.
From Adidas to Animal, Superdry to Scion – our branded sales are a big part of what we do, and we're looking for a Finance Analyst who’s just as passionate about making every penny count as we are. You’ll play a key role in making sure our third-party brands are profitable, sustainable, and set up to grow.
If you love diving into data, uncovering commercial opportunities, and working cross-functionally to make things happen, this could be the role for you.
A few things you’ll get stuck into:
* Managing brand-level profitability analysis – spotting trends, tracking performance, and flagging areas for improvement.
* Supporting new brand launches – appraising the numbers and making sure we’re set up for success.
* Reviewing the detail behind our P&Ls and preparing analysis for senior leadership.
* Collaborating with other finance teams to make sure our allocations, reporting, and forecasts are accurate and joined up.
* Keeping close tabs on our licensing cost centres – controlling spend and ensuring value.
* Working alongside buying and merchandising to evaluate new branded wholesale opportunities.
About you
* At least 3 years’ experience in a finance or analytical role
* CIMA/ACCA qualified (or part-qualified)
* Strong with Excel – PowerPivot and Power Query would be a bonus
* Comfortable with large datasets – ideally with SQL or Power BI experience
* Great attention to detail and able to work independently
* Confident preparing financial schedules and presenting them to senior stakeholders
* Commercially aware, solutions-focused, and proactive in how you work
* A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
Why you’ll love it here
This is more than just crunching numbers – it’s about driving real commercial change. You’ll have exposure to a broad range of stakeholders, get to work with some of the most exciting brands in the market, and be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team that’s always looking to do things better.
