If you join us, you can play your part as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer at Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset. This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air‑Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities

• Supporting the planning, preparation and execution of commissioning activities
• Ensuring systems and equipment are tested, validated and compliant with design specifications
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning
• Producing and reviewing commissioning documentation, procedures and records
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and quality standards

Essential Experience

• Demonstrable experience in commissioning, testing or engineering delivery within a regulated industry
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and system integration
• Experience working within nuclear, defence, energy or similarly highly regulated environments
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and procedures
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline (or relevant experience)
• Membership of a relevant professional engineering institution is desirable
