Tasks and Qualifications
Working for a recognized customer, the role demands dedication and professionalism. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Managing the shift team in daily activities
* Leading from the front and managing customer expectations
* Maintaining, repairing, and supporting equipment within the contract scope
* Ensuring delivery to Dematic and customer expectations to meet KPIs
* Performing equipment servicing and scheduled repairs
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC, and PC faults
* Prioritizing system faults
* Ensuring health and safety compliance
* Maintaining quality standards and recording work accurately
* Participating in continuous improvement initiatives
* Managing spares inventory
* Representing the company professionally and maintaining customer relations
* Adhering to quality processes and key staff procedures (attendance, discipline, development)
* Monitoring third-party support contracts
* Collaborating with other engineering leaders
* Managing breakdown situations effectively
Qualifications
* ONC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
* IOSH Working Safely (desirable)
* Experience managing a team (desirable)
* Foundation qualifications in people management (desirable)
* Recognized engineering apprenticeship
* Understanding of technical manuals and drawings
* Basic control systems and problem-solving skills
* PLC knowledge
* Working at height experience
* Experience with conveyor systems
* Good PC literacy
* Knowledge of PPM schedules and industry standards
* Continuous improvement mindset
