Due to a number of exciting change and transformational activities across the Rolls-Royce business we are now seeking to add a Component Repair Engineer to the team.
Job Description - The Role:
We are seeking a Consultant to lead the development of a strategic whitepaper and drive high-level planning for process and technology improvements within the repairdesignfunction for civil gas turbine engines. This role involves facilitating strategic brainstorming sessions, aligning stakeholders acrossengineering and operations, and creating a clear, actionable programme roadmap to enhance efficiency, innovation, and long-term capability in repairdesignprocesses. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership skills, experience in complex aerospace environments, and a proven track record in driving process transformation.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of a strategy whitepaper for repairdesignprocesses in civil gas turbine engines.
* Facilitate and lead strategic brainstorming sessions, road mapping, and programme planning workshops.
* Drive the end-to-end strategy process from concept through to industrialisation for component repair.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT software solutions, including AI and interface technologies, into repairdesignworkflows.
* Produce high-quality technical reports and documentation to support strategic initiatives.
* Engage with stakeholders across largeengineering organisations (e.g., BAE, JLR) to align on programme goals and timelines.
* Ensure compliance with BPSS and NDA requirements as needed.
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience in technical programmedesign, ideally in aerospace or complexengineering environments.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical strategies and whitepapers under tight timelines.
* Strong facilitation skills for brainstorming, roadmapping, and time-framing sessions.
* Experience withmechanicaldesignand component repairdesignin a technical context
