Job Title: Special Services Educational Technicians

Description: Scarborough Public Schools is seeking compassionate and dedicated Educational Technicians to join our Special Education Team. This position involves working directly with students in both one-on-one and small group settings to provide instructional and behavioral support. Positions available at all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist special education teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
* Provide one-on-one or small group instruction in academic, social, and life skills as directed by the special education teacher.
* Support students in inclusive classroom settings, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and are engaged in learning.
* Assist in modifying and adapting classroom materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Implement behavioral support plans, monitor progress, and assist with positive behavior interventions.
* Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Collect data on student progress and provide input to the special education team.
* Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and other school staff to ensure students receive appropriate support.
* Assist students with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, or mobility, if necessary.
* Attend professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices in special education support.
Pay Range: Dependent on experience - $21.31 to $27.96
Qualifications: Must hold current Educational Technician certification and fingerprinting. In addition, must be fully trained or be able to be fully trained in Safety Care. School experience preferred.
