Project Manager to lead a complex data migration project, involving the consolidation of data from four legacy systems into Databricks.
This is part of a large-scale transformation and change programme, aimed at modernizing our data infrastructure and enabling strategic insights across the business.
Location - Remote
Rate - £550 (inside)
This role will suit someone with a proven track record in enterprise data migration, strong knowledge of cloud data platforms (ideally Databricks), and excellent change management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of a multi-system data migration to Databricks
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
Coordinate across multiple business units, technical teams, and vendors
Manage project risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications
Support business readiness and change management activities
Ensure successful data validation, quality assurance, and cutover planning
Report progress to senior leadership and transformation stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience delivering complex data migration projects in enterprise environments
Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms, ideally Databricks
Familiarity with data governance, architecture, and quality framework
Experience in transformation/change programmes across multiple business units
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
Agile/Waterfall/hybrid delivery expertise
Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and drive delivery in fast-paced settings
Nice to Have:
Experience migrating to cloud data platforms such as Azure or AWS
Understanding of data integration tools and pipelines
Industry certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum)
