Religious Studies Teacher

Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and engaging Religious Studies Teacher to work with one of our partner secondary schools in the Wolverhampton area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to join a supportive and forward-thinking humanities department, inspiring students to explore beliefs, ethics and philosophical thought.
The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, respect and critical thinking in the classroom, creating a safe and open environment where pupils can discuss diverse religious and cultural perspectives.
Role Responsibilites:
* Deliver engaging RS lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Plan and assess learning in line with national curriculum objectives
* Promote tolerance, understanding and ethical discussion in a respectful setting
* Track student progress and provide appropriate support and feedback
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies or cross-curricular activities
* Maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour in line with school policies
* Support and promote safeguarding practices throughout all teaching and learning
Role Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Religious Studies in a UK secondary school
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to connect RS to wider social, moral and cultural themes
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* A commitment to inclusive education and student well-being
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
