Complex Needs Support Assistant – Portsmouth Location : Inclusive school in Portsmouth Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential to become permanent) Pay: £82 – £95 per day Start Date : March 2026 A well-regarded, specialist school and children’s home is looking for Teaching Assistants and Support Workers to work with children from the ages of 4 -11 with Autism and other neurodivergent needs. This is a shift role which may involve evening work to support children residing at the school. About the School: The school is an inclusive and supportive school working with children with Autism. The school is situated with extensive outdoor land for additional educational opportunities. There is a high proportion of children with additional needs and two inclusion units on the site to support those with specific needs. The Role: This role involves supporting pupils with complex needs, including those with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and other learning or developmental challenges. You’ll work both one-to-one and within the classroom, helping children access learning. Being a good communicator with teachers and other support staff is key.
