Description
* Overseeing all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis
* Managing month-end processes to ensure everything's on time, accurate, and audit-ready
* Delivering reliable financial statements aligned with UK accounting standards
* Maintaining rolling cash flow forecasts and tracking working
* Collaborating closely with operational leads to monitor costs and drive profitability
* Reporting directly to the Financial Controller
* Managing all statutory and tax obligations - Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, and filings
* Acting as the main contact for external advisors and accountants
* Strengthening financial controls and helping to shape internal policies
* Providing strategic insights and financial recommendations to senior leadership
* Implementing and managing ERP systems as part of wider operational improvements
* Leading and mentoring a small finance team, and overseeing Payroll, VAT, and Management Accounts
* Handling commercial insurances and supporting other business-critical activities
Profile
* Strong experience in SME finance leadership
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
* Advanced Microsoft excel skills
* Proven ability to manage the finance function independently
* Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software
* Commercially minded, proactive, and confident communicator
Job Offer
£70,000 - £90,000
Pro rata, 2 - 3 days in office (fully officed based for those days)
25 days + BH
Pension
