We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects based out of our offices in Swadlincote.
Responsibilities
1. Client collaboration to establish initial requirements, including site visits and surveys.
2. Producing electrical schematics, cable block diagrams, PLC I/O schedules, cable schedules, and system architecture using AutoCAD where required.
3. Specifying instrumentation and completing instrumentation and equipment schedules.
4. Supporting feasibility and FEED studies.
5. Managing and overseeing electrical installations on site.
6. Undertaking electrical and instrumentation FAT, testing, and commissioning activities on site or at supplier’s premises.
7. Compiling risk assessments and method statements to support the work undertaken.
8. Supporting the estimating and quotation process by obtaining equipment and subcontractor quotations, ensuring they meet specifications.
9. Procurement of equipment and services within the project budget.
10. Attending client site meetings and internal project meetings.
11. Visiting sites throughout the UK as required to support the project, which may require overnight stays at critical points.
12. Identifying and capturing project variations, compiling costs, and relaying scope changes to the project manager.
13. Managing and driving cost reduction and value engineering of projects.
14. Working in accordance with client site and project specifications.
15. Ensuring compliance with legislation BS7617:2018 Electrical specifications, DSEAR, and ATEX legislation.
Skills & Experience
* HNC in electrical engineering.
* Control panel experience required.
* Instrumentation setup experience required.
* Explosive atmosphere experience preferred.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
* Proficiency in Word and Excel.
