Purpose:
The Clinical Lead will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and wellbeing support for the peer support workforce. They will ensure services are delivered safely, compassionately, and in line with NHS requirements, IMROC peer support training standards, and best practice. The Clinical Lead will act as a bridge between peer support and clinical governance, reporting to the CEO and working closely with the COO.

The Clinical Lead will play a vital role in supporting peer support workers by:
- Providing clinical supervision and guidance.
- Ensuring safeguarding, quality, and safe practice standards are maintained.
- Promoting the wellbeing of peer support staff.
- Amending and reviewing KPI data for the NHS peer support contract.
- Attending NHS commissioner review meetings with the CEO and COO
The role requires warmth, compassion, and respect for lived experience approaches, whilst bringing professional clinical expertise as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health, Learning Disability, Adult or Child), Occupational Therapist or Psychologist. The role requires the individual to understand that autism presents differently in different autistic people and a clinical supervisor can not take a 'one-size-fits-all approach'. Experience in inpatient mental health services is desirable.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
**Clinical Supervision & Wellbeing**
* Deliver regular clinical supervision (individual and group) for peer support workers.
* Provide reflective practice opportunities to strengthen learning and resilience.
* Actively support peer support worker wellbeing, offering early guidance when needed.
* Ensure adherence to safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns appropriately.
**Clinical Governance & Standards**
* Ensure practice aligns with IMROC peer support worker training and values.
* Uphold professional and ethical standards in line with regulatory bodies.
* Provide clinical input into risk management and service delivery planning.
**Reporting & Data**
* Amend and analyse KPI data for the NHS peer support contract.
* Provide clinical insight into service outcomes and performance reporting.
* Work collaboratively with the CEO and COO to prepare reports for commissioners.
**Stakeholder Engagement**
* Attend contract review meetings with NHS commissioners alongside the CEO and COO.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with NHS and partner organisations.
* Represent the charity with warmth and professionalism at external meetings.
**Leadership & Development**
* Contribute to shaping the peer support service and wider strategy.
* Provide advice on training, reflective practice, and staff development needs.
* Help ensure peer support remains authentic while meeting clinical governance standards.
Essential Requirements:
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (Mental Health, Learning Disability, Adult or Children), Occupational Therapist or Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling, or Health).
- Current registration with relevant professional body (NMC, HCPC, BPS, or equivalent).
- Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification.
Experience:
* Significant experience providing clinical supervision and/or line management.
* Understanding of peer support principles and IMROC training frameworks.
* Experience in safeguarding and clinical governance.
* Experience working with NHS services or commissioners.

Pay: £27.50 per hour
