Salary: £25,837.50 FTE (DOE)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent (Term Time Only + 2 weeks)
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing, dedicated team of clinicians supporting children and young people at Miller House School. The role is cross‑disciplinary and focuses on supporting the work of Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists. You will work closely with the therapy team, the education team, and families to provide high‑quality, evidence‑based support tailored to pupils' needs. Under the supervision of qualified clinicians and the Lead Clinician, you will deliver assessments, interventions, communication and sensory profiles, contribute to placement plans, and facilitate a range of interventions. Additional responsibilities include observations, co‑facilitating staff training, attending multi‑agency meetings, and ongoing service development. Opportunities for professional development are available through internal specialist forums and external training funding.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide evidence‑based assessments and interventions under supervision.
* Support the creation of communication and sensory profiles.
* Contribute to placement plans and deliver a range of interventions.
* Conduct observations and co‑facilitate staff training.
* Attend multi‑agency meetings and support on‑going service development.
* Maintain accurate records and administrative tasks for the team.
Qualifications
* 5 GCSEs Grade C or above, including English.
* Undergraduate degree (preference but not mandatory).
* Relevant Post‑16 education or experience.
* Willingness to work towards further qualifications as required.
* Experience as a therapy assistant or in a similar role is advantageous.
* Experience working within an educational setting is advantageous.
* Teamworking and communication skills – able to communicate complex, technical and clinically sensitive information effectively.
* Organisational skills and ability to complete administration tasks for a team.
