This role provides technical deliverables that underpin the service management platforms for Enterprise customers, generating revenue circa 50-60m per annum.The Infrastructure Engineering Specialist independently works executing the vision of key technologies within the infrastructure landscape.What you’ll be doingSupport the implementation of infrastructure solutions following established designs and standards.Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of infrastructure components (compute, storage, network, OS, tooling).Help diagnose and resolve routine technical issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers when needed.Contribute to system health checks, patching cycles, and environment monitoring activities.Work collaboratively with application, architecture, and security teams to support change and service improvements.Support documentation updates for infrastructure, tooling, processes, and configuration items.Help with installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of infrastructure hardware/software under guidance.Contribute to automation tasks (e.g., basic scripts) to improve efficiency.Essential skills/experience:Infrastructure Knowledge ,understanding of servers, networks, storage, operating systems.Scripting/Programming familiarity with Python, PowerShell or similar.Cloud Fundamentals awareness of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS).System Integration good understanding how components communicate within an IT environment.Desirable skills/experience:Exposure to virtualisation technologiesExperience with automation tools or CI/CD conceptsKnowledge of monitoring toolsUnderstanding of incident and change management processesOur Package:10% on target annual bonusAccess to an online private GP 24/7 for you and your immediate familyMarket-leading paid carers leave with up to 2 weeks offEqualized maternity, paternity, and adoption leave – 18 weeks’ full pay and 8 weeks’ half payDiscounted EE and BT products, including mobile and broadbandMarket leading Pension scheme – 5% from you and 10% from usHoliday purchase schemeBT Group is the UK’s leading communications group and the holding company behind some of the country’s most recognised brands – including BT, EE, Openreach and Plusnet.
