Purpose of the job:
The MMM Operative role is a shift position within the Logistics Team. The role reports to the Manufacturing Operational Team Leader.
The role provides a key operational materials handling and loading resource for the Cell. The post holder will be responsible for first line inventory movements within the warehouse & Manufacturing operation. This will include operating Fork Lift trucks and pallet wrapping equipment. The user will be trained in the use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and will use it for all stock movements. Other related responsibilities such as Health & Safety, housekeeping, hygiene and asset care will also be a requirement of the position. Teamwork, a positive attitude, full flexibility and ability, will be a prerequisite of this position.
Skills and Experience
1. GCSE’s (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above.
2. Experience of logistics operations.
3. Health, safety and hygiene awareness.
4. Quality standards.
5. Process awareness.
6. FLT counterbalance licence.
7. Customer and business understanding.
8. Standard operating procedures.
9. Shift Working.
Key Responsibilities include:
10. FLT driving, moving finished goods internally, loading and unloading vehicles.
11. Use of pallet wrapping and pallet exchange equipment.
12. Stock cycle counting.
13. Area 5S (workplace organisation) and housekeeping.
14. Able to challenge poor behaviours and unsafe practice.
15. Problem Solving as necessary.
16. The user will be trained in the use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and will use it for all stock movements.
17. Other duties may be required from time to time
