The Role
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering complete mechanical design solutions across a range of bespoke equipment. You will work closely with manufacturing, assembly and wider engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient and delivered right first time. Key responsibilities include:
* Producing full mechanical designs from concept through to final release
* Creating detailed drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks
* Producing accurate Bills of Materials for procurement and production
* Supporting new product development and continuous improvement projects
* Liaising with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are fit for purpose
* Maintaining accurate design documentation and drawing records
* Supporting machine build, assembly and testing where required

Skills & Experience
We are keen to speak with Design Engineers who can demonstrate:
* Proven experience in mechanical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong 3D CAD experience, ideally using SolidWorks
* Experience producing detailed drawings and Bills of Materials
* A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles
* The ability to manage your own projects and deliver to deadlines
Desirable:
* Knowledge of hydraulic or pneumatic systems
* Experience designing machinery or complex equipment
Salary & Benefits
* Salary up to £46,000 depending on experience
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Location & Working Pattern
* Based in the Scarborough area
* Fully on-site role, with potential flexibility in the future
* 39 hours per week - With half day on Fridays
