The Role
We're hiring two full-time editors to join our growing content team. These are long-term freelance roles where you'll be working on meaningful, high-impact content every week - helping us tell stories that change lives and support a mission that matters.
The mission - keep dogs out of shelters and off the euthanasia table.
This isn't a mindless churn job or a TikTok edits factory. You'll be shaping stories from the ground up - everything from emotional client testimonials and transformation pieces, to punchy YouTube videos, course modules, social ads, and behind-the-scenes reels from our Sanctuary project.
Some edits will be tight and efficient. Others will require emotional pacing, story structure, and creative choices that help people feel something, and take action. We're not just looking for software skill - we're looking for editors who get storytelling.
One of these roles will likely be more senior, one more junior - but we'll figure that out based on who applies. What matters most is your taste, your attitude, and your ability to bring content to life.
Key Responsibilities
* Edit long-form YouTube videos, interviews, testimonials, and training content
* Cut short-form content for social (Reels, TikToks, vertical ad creatives)
* Edit online course modules in a clear, consistent, branded style
* Add music, sound design, pacing, and visual polish without overdoing it
* Work from structured briefs — but also contribute creative input where it adds value
* Maintain consistent tone, quality, and brand feel across platforms
* Meet agreed timelines and communicate progress clearly with the team
About You
* You're fluent in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (we're flexible, just be good)
* You can cut fast, clean, and to a consistent style
* You have strong story instincts and a good sense of emotional pacing
* You're organised with your timelines, folders, exports, and revisions
* You're confident receiving feedback and working as part of a creative team
* You care about the mission - and it shows in the effort you put in
Bonus Points (Not Required)
* You've worked in branded content, YouTube, social media, or education
* You're familiar with, Google Drive, and working with remote teams
* You've edited short-form ads or vertical content for conversions
* You've worked with footage from Sony cinema cameras
* You follow editors or storytellers who influence your style and keep you improving
