Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary SEN School in Wigan from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEND.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
* Support students' academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
* Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence.
* Adapt learning resources and strategies to meet individual needs.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents/carers.
* Monitor and record student progress and achievements.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND, either in education, care, or support settings.
* A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable Experience:
* Supporting students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, or moderate to severe learning difficulties.
* Previous experience within a specialist SEN or secondary school setting.
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or training.
