A rare opportunity to be part of the most fabulous Community Diabetes Service!
Based in Gloucestershire, we are looking for a Diabetes Specialist Dietitian to join our incredibly loyal, supportive and valued team.
Our predominantly Type 2 service is currently provided by a Consultant, 5 Specialist Nurses, 3 Dietitians, 3 Nutritionists, a Health Care Professional Educator and 2 Administrators. We also take students across the trust on an annual basis.
Our team values focus on delivering outstanding patient care whilst supporting our team and each individual's development, effectiveness and autonomy, within a service who treats everyone with respect and equality.
The service is highly valued by both Primary and Secondary care, working to support the upskilling of health care professionals within our own trust and the primary care networks to manage Type 2 diabetes effectively.
We also hold a caseload of complex patients requiring specialist support and our registered nutritionists provide structured education for all patients living with Type 2 Diabetes.

Main duties of the job
We actively encourage ongoing learning and involvement in specialist groups such as the British Dietetic Association Diabetes Group and Diabetes UK, ensuring you have the confidence and ability to fulfill your role.
We are keen to find someone with knowledge and skills in managing Type 2 Diabetes who wants to feel valued and work as part of a service who really cares about their team, offering flexibility and a platform to make a difference to those living with diabetes.

The successful applicant will be required to drive to sites around Gloucestershire and therefore must hold a UK Driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
There may be opportunities for additional hours with other services depending on experience.
