Reports to: Head of Finance Control & Operations
Location: Hybrid / Bedford 2-days per week
Contract Type: 12-month FTC
Salary: Competitive + car allowance + 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays + competitive pension
Early May 2026 start date.
Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for technical accounting areas including hedge accounting, IFRS 16, IFRS 9
* Preparation of the balance sheet, cashflow and working capital budgets/forecasts
* Control and review of balance sheet reconciliations including monthly commentary for senior management reporting
* Ownership of the relationship with the external and internal auditors and overseeing the external interim and year end audit
* Assisting internal and external auditors in the evaluation of Belron UK Limited control environment, implementing improvements of any control deficiencies found as a result
* Planning and execution of period end financial close cut off and routines including the completion and submission of reporting requirements to Belron Group in accordance with Group reporting deadlines and procedures
* Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with regards to corporation tax and VAT
* Ownership of all external reporting including but not limited to FCA returns, ONS, PSA and insurance returns
* Ownership of preparation and submission of statutory accounts for the two main trading entities
* Coach and develop team of three (2 direct and 1 indirect)
Skills & Experience:
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with post qualification experience
* Proven experience of dealing with internal and external auditors
* Technically up to date and fully conversant with financial statement to IFRS and UK GAAP standards
* Keen eye for detail with an ability to work to strict deadlines
* Excellent skills in the use of Word and Excel
* Understanding of VAT and CT regulations

* Improvement in core processes and value for money
* Strong relationships with all key stakeholders
* Strong control environment measured via external and internal audit
* Successful annual audit process
* Ensuring the Companies adherence to legal obligations and tax returns
* Delivery of accurate monthly reporting to Belron Group

* UK Financial Controller and Finance Director
* Senior Leadership Team
* Group functions including Tax, Treasury, Company Secretarial, Risk and Assurance.
