An ambitious Reading primary seeks a reflective Year 3 Teacher to join Key Stage 2 from January 2026. This full-time Year 3 Teacher role suits a practitioner who enjoys enquiry-led learning, vocabulary-rich teaching and building strong subject knowledge. The Year 3 Teacher will plan in advance of January 2026, attend induction in January 2026 and begin teaching from January 2026. Week overview — for the Year 3 Teacher Mornings: the Year 3 Teacher leads mathematics and English sequences designed to develop reasoning, fluency and confident reading. Afternoons: the Year 3 Teacher delivers enquiry-based foundation topics, practical science and project work that deepen pupils’ cultural capital. The Year 3 Teacher will run targeted interventions, prepare moderation evidence and liaise with parents; all planning and preparation will be aligned to the January 2026 start and the school’s assessment cycle. Year 3 Teacher Responsibilities The Year 3 Teacher will deliver coherent mathematics and English sequences, lead practical science investigations and design cross-curricular projects that build knowledge. The Year 3 Teacher will run interventions, track progress and communicate with parents. The Year 3 Teacher will prepare resources prior to January 2026 and will teach from January 2026. The Year 3 Teacher will also support phase moderation and participate in CPD. Year 3 Teacher Requirements We are looking for a Year 3 Teacher with QTS, secure KS2 experience and the ability to drive progress. The Year 3 Teacher should be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and a full-time start from January 2026.
