Warehouse Supervisor – Corby
Location: Corby
Salary: Up to £34,500 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Permanent – 45 hours per week
Operational Hours: Currently 4:00am – 5:00pm (subject to change to 6:00am – 5:00pm)

Role Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor will support the Warehouse Operations Manager in the daily management of the warehouse, overseeing all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, team support, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Reporting Structure
* Reports to: Warehouse Operations Manager
* Direct Reports: Warehouse Team Leaders, Administrators, Warehouse Operators
* Internal Relationships: Operational Peers
* External Relationships: Suppliers, Customers, and relevant agencies
Key Responsibilities1. Health & Safety Compliance
* Ensure full compliance with all health and safety and emergency procedures.
* Promote accident prevention through proactive hazard identification and reporting.
* Enforce correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all employees.
* Conduct weekly site safety inspections, including checks on fire exits, extinguishers, and first aid equipment.
2. Warehouse Operations
* Ensure all operatives work in a safe, clean, and efficient manner.
* Maintain accurate, prompt updates of goods arrivals and dispatches within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
* Print and verify product labels for inbound and outbound goods.
* Monitor, control, and improve operational costs and onward charges to key accounts.
* Communicate effectively with peers and the transport team to resolve operational issues.
* Book and expedite transport for customer collections and dispatches.
* Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to improve workflow efficiency across the warehouse and yard.
3. Customer Service
* Ensure all products are received, packed, and dispatched according to customer specifications and within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Engage proactively with customers to maximise warehouse capacity and plan future stock movements.
4. Stock Accuracy
* Ensure all stock—whether incoming, stored, or picked—is accurately recorded, scanned, and handled to the required standard.
5. Food & Product Safety & Security
* Promote and enforce company policies and procedures regarding food and product safety and security.
* Participate as a member of the company HACCP team, conducting risk assessments and assisting with the implementation of mitigating measures where necessary.
Requirements
* Full FTL licence (essential)
* Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor within a warehouse or logistics environment
* Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and health & safety procedures
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Ability to lead by example and foster a positive, proactive team culture
