Special Constable
Special Constables are part‑time, voluntary police officers who work in some of the most important areas of modern policing. They have the same powers, uniform and equipment as regular officers and work alongside our front‑line as well as police staff to help keep our people, places and communities of Staffordshire safe.
Key Responsibilities
* Volunteer for 16+ hours of operational policing each month.
* Provide investigative assistance to support the force.
* Act as a vital link between the police and our communities.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Hold a full manual driving licence.
* Commit to at least 16 hours of policing per month.
* Be available for mandatory training over an 18‑week period on alternative weekends.
Training & Intake
The training programme will take place on alternative weekends over an 18‑week period. Intake is scheduled for September 2026. Attendance will be mandatory, so applicants must be available when the dates are provided.

26th June 2026 – 12 Midday.
