Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in using hand and power tools. This role involves decommission of vehicles, using car recycling equipment, working part of a team, operating a folk lift truck, heavy lifting as required.
Responsibilities
* Remove all liquids from vehicles before they are recycled.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively in various tasks.
* Use specialised equipment to recycle vehicle tyres and vehicle radiators
* Operate folk lift trucks to off load vehicles and move them in a safe manner
* Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential issues.
* Assist in heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required.
Qualifications
* No formal qualification is required. Training will be given.
* Proven mechanical knowledge
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* knowledge of vehicles
* Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as part of the job requirements.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
