The post holder will contribute to and advise on the development and implementation of oral/public health improvement programmes and support structures. These may include the Designed to Smile Child Oral Health Improvement Programme (WHC/2017/23) or Gwên am Byth Improving Oral Health for Older People Living in Care Homes.
To deliver comprehensive oral health promotion training for a range of education and healthcare professionals, community groups, and individuals across Cardiff and Vale.
As a member of the Oral Health Education team, you will undertake duties including the application of fluoride varnish in non-clinical settings.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and innovative Oral Health Improvement Practitioner within the Designed to Smile Team, part of The Community Dental Service.
We seek an enthusiastic and positive individual with excellent communication skills. The successful applicant must demonstrate the ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously across different sites within Cardiff and Vale.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team, taking ownership and responsibility for delivering the Designed to Smile National Oral Health Promotion, training, and support programme for Wales, aimed at improving children's oral health.
The candidate should have a good understanding of the programme and may be required to work clinical sessions at times.
