Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an RMN or RNLD to join our Acute and Urgent Care service as an Inpatient Ward Manager on a male mixed AOT and Acute ward based at Oleaster. This position requires a motivated, inspirational, innovative and creative leader who can manage the ongoing developments and delivery of care to males in an acute care setting.

You will need to possess high quality clinical and managerial skills to ensure the maintenance of the current high standards of effective delivery of patient care. Your managerial skills will enable you to take total management responsibility whilst promoting good working relationships and being responsible for the professional development of the staff you are responsible for within the Multidisciplinary Team.

You will be a Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist with experience of managing and leading teams. Experience of working in an acute or an older adult inpatient setting will be an advantage.


Responsibilities

* Manage the ongoing developments and delivery of care to males in an acute care setting.
* Take total management responsibility while promoting good working relationships within the multidisciplinary team.
* Be responsible for the professional development of staff you supervise.
* Lead and manage teams with high standards of clinical and operational performance.


Qualifications

* Registered Nurse (RMN) or Registered Nursing Learning Disabilities (RNLD) qualified; or an appropriately experienced Occupational Therapist.
* Experience of managing and leading teams.
* Experience in an acute or older adult inpatient setting is advantageous.

Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust. The Trust will reimburse this. You will be contractually obliged to maintain your subscription.

All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust's induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your second week with us.

Relocation expenses may be reimbursed subject to eligibility. The policy provides for reimbursement up to £8,000.
