Overview
We are looking for a number of Actuarial Analysts to join our GMP Equalisation team. We have a unique approach to solving the problems around GMP and are looking for technically minded people to join our friendly and supportive team. This role requires a desire and ability to grasp complex actuarial concepts and find solutions. You will work as part of the GMP team to assist clients in equalising pensions for their scheme members.
Responsibilities
* Working with and understanding member data
* Reviewing complex calculations
* Reviewing written advice to clients on GMP topics
* Communicating results to client teams and supporting them as you work through projects
* Regular liaison and communication with the GMP team, client team and other departments in XPS
* Opportunity to get involved in specialist research and development teams
* Training and managing more junior colleagues as they embark on their actuarial career
Qualifications
* A keen interest in actuarial concepts, the wider pensions industry and financial landscape
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
* Desirable: An inquisitive mind and a desire to learn
* Highly motivated and driven to succeed
* Ability to problem solve and come up with solutions
* Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail
* Adaptable and a team-player
Role location and working arrangements
* This role could be based from any of the following offices with hybrid working: Reading, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Guildford, Edinburgh, London, or Belfast
