Purpose of Role
To primarily manage a caseload of varied EL/PL cases. The majority of the cases will be Fast Track with the potential to handle Multi Track cases, with some business to consumer and business to business matters. The role supports the Senior Litigation Solicitor and includes providing guidance to the Pre-litigation team.
The team is looking to exploreits involvement in regulatory work. Experience in this area is desired but is not essential.
Key Accountabilities
1. Handling a caseload of EL/PL files. The majority of the cases will be Fast Track with the potential to handle Multi track cases
2. Advising on liability and quantum
3. Initial report/review and setting strategy for the management of the claim
4. Undertaking investigations remotely or at store
5. Reviewing evidence (e.g. Accident report documentation, training records).
6. Drafting straightforward Defences and Counter Schedules
7. Preparing Disclosure
8. Drafting/reviewing witness evidence
9. Conducting/arranging for cover at Court hearings
