Speech and Language Therapist role at Oxford Outcomes. Park School – Oxfordshire OX7 5QH. Salary up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience). Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 08:30–16:30. Contract: Fixed Term – 12 Months. Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

The role
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Park School. You will work collaboratively with the education team to deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, guiding your practice within an education setting while aligning with governing and professional body requirements.
You will be responsible for holding a Speech and Language Therapy caseload with full support from your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, and you will contribute to staff training and consultation as required. This role suits a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual. Our clinical teams maintain a person-centred, safeguarding-focused approach, putting pupils at the forefront of everything we do.
Location: Park School – Oxfordshire OX7 5QH. Park School forms part of our Acorn Education brand and is an independent specialist day school for children and young people aged 7–18.
Essential criteria
* Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* HCPC registered
* Experience working with individuals with complex and diverse communication profiles
* Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice
* Experience of multidisciplinary working in various settings
* Experience of communicating with/working with families, relatives, and carers
* Interest in developing knowledge and skills in different areas of SaLT practice
* Good relationship building, analytical and judgmental skills
* Good communication skills (oral and written)
* Good time management and organizational skills
* Competent in core areas of SaLT practice and understanding of RCSLT standards
* Knowledge of SaLT assessment tools, intervention types, and how to formulate support plans based on needs
* Knowledge of relevant legislation for clinical practice and professional management
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Willingness to attend training and work towards further qualifications relevant to the client group
* Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

* Understanding of sensory and motor differences that may impact communication
* Evidence of understanding the relationship between arousal levels and communication
