Job Title: Commissioning Engineer at Waukesha Bearings
As a Commissioning Engineer at Waukesha Bearings, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for commissioning new active magnetic bearings installations and servicing existing installations worldwide. You will also support production testing at our laboratory in Worthing, West Sussex.
Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has over three decades of applying magnetic bearing technology to enhance rotating equipment performance. We lead in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery and high-performance rotating equipment, including turbo expanders, multi-stage natural gas compressors, and electrical motors up to 23MW.
What You Will Bring
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar
* At least five years of experience in commissioning automation systems
* Knowledge of European safety standards (beneficial)
What You Will Do
* Commission systems worldwide, including subsystems prior to installation
* Service and provide support globally
* Handle service call-outs internationally
* Complete system integration and testing per company procedures
* Provide documentation for testing installations and cabinets
* Assist with cabinet testing
* Ensure delivery meets cabinet and system requirements by the deadline
* Adhere to safety and quality standards per country
* Achieve commissioning targets as agreed with customers
* Maintain professionalism and technical competence with customers
* Support business objectives in all duties
* Potentially handle some commercial activities as time permits
* Travel up to 50%, including international trips
