GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking forPlanning Engineer - MU Designwho would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.
Purpose of this role The Planning Engineer Multi-Utility Design will liaise with internal and external parties to design multi-utility networks for new housing, mixed-use, and industrial and commercial projects.
Your key responsibilities are Undertake demand calculations, network drawings and variations and to ensure network designs are fit for purpose, legislatively compliant and in accordance with Company and industry standards.
Design innovative engineering solutions that satisfy both our customer needs and the needs of internal stakeholders - provide lowest cost for greatest benefit.
Liaise with our clients to understand the requirements and constraints on their projects.
Calculate contract variation costs and produce variation orders for clients.
Attend meetings with Clients, Network Operators, and other companies as required.
Liaise with other departments and companies across the BUUK group to ensure the safe and efficient construction of projects.
Achieve high customer satisfaction with our design / variation processes.
Qualifications GCSE (or equivalent) grade 5 or above in English language and Maths.
Experience/Knowledge Knowledge of engineering principles.
Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes or equivalent.
Experience in a design related role in the construction or Utilities sector.
Proficient in using AutoCAD & GIS (geographical Information Systems).
Cost of living annual pay review.
Company pension contributions up to 10% if employees contribute 5%.
