How is this role different from a traditional sponsorship sales role? This is not a traditional sales role The focus of the R&D team is to explore new topics and market segments, identifying repeatable events we can grow into the future. As such day-to-day activities, pay, incentives and success criteria are aligned with these goals in this highly entrepreneurial role. Who is the role for? The role would suit someone who is creative, enjoys launching new products and relishes a challenge. What will the role involve? The R&D teams remit is to identify and launch events into new industries and topic areas where we might not have much in the way of legacy customers or data.The focus will therefore be on generating new business by creating a value proposition, effectively mapping the market, connecting with key decision makers to develop commercial agreements and partnerships, and leveraging a consultative sales process to identify business needs we can help solve.
