Hours: 35 hours per week. Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
Salary: £38,000–£42,000 depending on experience.
Start date: January 2025.
Location: Hybrid – New Milton (four days in office and one day work from home).

About You
You’re a seasoned QA professional with at least 5 years of hands‑on experience in software testing. It is essential that you have 1–2 years in a leadership role where you have successfully guided teams on a transformative journey. You bring a strong track record of managing testing teams and environments, and you’re passionate about driving quality and efficiency.
Your toolkit includes a deep understanding of defect lifecycle management, test planning, execution, and reporting. You’re confident working with test management tools and have a working knowledge of SQL. Ideally, you’ve also had exposure to test automation, risk‑based testing, and UAT coordination.
You hold a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, and may also have advanced certifications such as ISTQB Test Manager or training in Agile methodologies.

Role
As a QA Test Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of driving quality excellence across our software solutions. Leading a small, agile QA team, you’ll take a hands‑on approach to optimise testing processes, ensuring our products meet the highest standards required in the telecare industry.
You’ll oversee detailed manual testing while strategically advancing our automated testing capabilities. Your leadership will foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture, and you’ll be instrumental in embedding best practices, maintaining compliance, and enhancing efficiency across our QA operations.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead and guide the QA team in implementing and enhancing quality assurance practices.
* Introduce and coordinate the review and approval of test scripts and results.
* Oversee and execute meticulous manual testing processes to identify and resolve software issues.
* Strategically drive and integrate automated testing practices to improve efficiency.
* Foster a collaborative team culture, encouraging effective communication and knowledge sharing.
* Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical colleagues across departments.
* Establish and enforce QA best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Champion the adoption and integration of automated testing tools and technologies.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align development and testing processes.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies.
* Take accountability for the overall efficiency and reliability of testing processes.
* Lead initiatives to maintain comprehensive documentation for knowledge sharing.
* Provide insights and recommendations on testing tools and technologies to enhance strategy.
* Offer leadership and line management for the QA team, supporting development, performance, and collaboration.
