About The Role
Responsible for the design, manufacture, verification and validation, along with through‑life technical support of board‑level, sub‑system and system‑level test equipment.
Main Duties
* Design functional test equipment and take responsibility for overall quality.
* Document design specifications and implementation details; participate in design reviews and uphold design standards and methodologies.
* Realise complex system requirements to deliver robust and reliable test hardware solutions.
* Implement detailed technical items and understand system‑level items.
* Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to agree on system designs, interfaces and protocols.
* Develop appropriate test hardware and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove correct operation of hardware.
* Support manufacturing by answering product queries and resolving technical issues.
* Manage hardware obsolescence throughout its lifecycle.
* Monitor and report development progress to supervisors and the team.
* Support company compliance with Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
* Ensure all business activity aligns with company values, policies and ethics codes of conduct.
* Undertake any other activity reasonably requested by management.
* Apply IPDS processes, contribute to engineering risks and opportunities, and support project gate/design reviews.
* Provide engineering interface to external customers and suppliers.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
* Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering (already achieved or to be completed by 7 September 2026).
* Successful candidate will obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
* Flexibility on location and ability to travel to UK facilities and overseas.
* Excellent STEM skills demonstrated through academic achievement.
* A passion for succeeding in a fast‑paced technology industry.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
