Who You Are You are a seasoned legal professional with recent experience in local government prosecutions and criminal litigation. You possess comprehensive knowledge of criminal law, local government law, and licensing matters, including the Licensing Act 2003. Ideally, you have 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and have acted as a legal adviser to sub-committees. What the Job Involves You will support the Senior Prosecutions Lawyer in delivering a cost-effective and high-quality Prosecutions Service for the Council. This includes providing legal advice, conducting representation in various legal forums, and participating in corporate projects and initiatives. You will need to maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and case law relevant to the Council and support the development and management of information technology systems used within the team. Your role may also involve supervising trainees and other staff and assisting with recruitment.
