An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Occupational Therapist within Havering Intermediate Care team.
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Band 6 Occupational therapist to work as part of the multidisciplinary team. The service is a forward-thinking and innovative service that is community based and works in a fully integrated way, district nurses, physiotherapists, nurses and community matrons all working side by side to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to the care of people accessing our service.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside and attend training with nursing and therapy colleagues within a large multi-disciplinary team, offering valued, challenging and rewarding role within the team.
You will be expected to carry out clinical visits to patients in their own homes and care homes delivering occupational interventions to the population.
The successful applicant must be flexible, a good team worker, used to working under pressure, have excellent interpersonal and IT skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients, carers and other members of the MDT.
You will be supported with continuing professional development and will be supported to undertake training.
Car driver with full UK driver license and access to a car is essential

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
High-Cost Area Supplement – Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary. (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941).
