Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fire protection systems and engineering principles, with expertise in system design, installation, and inspection. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler fittings. The Fire Engineer will work closely with construction teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
1. Design and implement fire protection systems, including fire alarms and sprinkler systems.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to develop effective fire safety solutions.
3. Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and regulations.
4. Utilize CAD software for system design and layout of fire protection equipment.
5. Provide field service support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems.
6. Collaborate with contractors and clients to assess needs and provide technical guidance on fire safety measures.
7. Maintain knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it pertains to low voltage systems.
