Trainee ClaimsHandler: We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Motor Claims PersonalInjury Team, as a Trainee Claims Handler alongside completing a level 4insurance apprenticeship.
As a Trainee ClaimsHandler you will be joining a professionally qualified and supportive team,working towards completing your own qualifications and developing the technicaland non-technical skills to manage your own portfolio of personal injury claims.You will complete a structureddevelopment programme with an 18-month insurance apprenticeship where learnerswill achieve their CII Diploma.

Salary£26,000 increasing to £29,000 in increments on completion of our 18 months’ payprogression scheme inline with the level 4 apprenticeship
Below are some ofthe key areas that a Trainee Claims Handler will be involved in:
1. Responsible for handling a number of claims from the initial customer contact through to the settlement of the claim, with values of up to £25,000.
2. Understand the principles and practices of insurance through the completion of the CII Diploma.
3. Develop a thorough understanding of Ageas Motor Insurance products and Motor Claims handling processes, by providing first class customer service and cost control for first- and third-party claims.
4. Develop knowledge of the Motor Insurance and claims market, its main participants, the means by which income is generated via the claims process.
Develop influencing and negotiations skills to be used in a range of situations and scenarios.
What we are lookingfor in a Trainee Claims Handler:
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (traditional and digital). Minimum Grade C at GCSE, or equivalent, for Maths and English
6. Ability to make decisions after considering all options.
7. A high level of curiosity.
8. Organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise.
9. The ability to resolve conflict should it arise.
10. Self-sufficient and takes the initiative.
11. Keen interest in self-development including undertaking the required professional qualifications.
