Behaviour Support Assistant – Specialist Provision

Contract: Full-time, Term-time + Training Days

Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience
Do you stay calm when things feel challenging? Are you good at building trust, even on tough days? This Behaviour Support Assistant role is all about consistency, patience and helping pupils feel safe enough to learn.
You’ll be supporting children and young people who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour, or engagement in school. It’s not always easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding.
Your role will include
1. Supporting pupils with behaviour and emotional regulation throughout the school day
2. Helping pupils engage with learning in a structured, supportive way
3. Using agreed behaviour strategies consistently
4. Supporting transitions, routines and unstructured times
5. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
We’re looking for someone who
6. Has experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
7. Is calm, resilient and reflective
8. Can build positive relationships without raising their voice
9. Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
