Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Fryer, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that all food safety standards are met while delivering high-quality meals to our customers.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook food items using frying techniques, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all meals prepared.
* Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as needed.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
* Monitor cooking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results for each dish.
* Keep track of inventory levels for ingredients used in frying and report any shortages to management.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
* A passion for serving high-quality meals and providing excellent customer service.
* A full, clean driving licence is required.
* Age 25+ for insurance purposes
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
