Job Description:
Responsibilities
Support the promotion of a risk and compliance-aware culture across the organisation.
Deliver the Compliance Monitoring Plan, producing detailed monitoring reports, testing papers and maintaining accurate records.
Work with business to resolving any gaps, weaknesses identified via compliance monitoring
Support Head of Compliance in the provision of related MI
Draft and update internal policies, compliance reports, and procedural documents.
Perform regulatory and industry horizon scanning, assess impact, and support implementation of relevant legislation.
Conduct relevant gap analysis and establish and maintain detailed records of horizon scanning related work
Work with Head of Compliance to product regulatory updates to business outlining emerging regulatory trends
Identify areas for improvement in regulatory and risk procedures, contributing to high-quality compliance documentation.
Support the design and delivery of regulatory training and manage compliance attestations.
Prepare periodic FCA regulatory reporting and respond to ad-hoc regulatory queries.
Conduct due diligence on suppliers, clients, and customers.
Provide regulatory input on business change and transformation projects.
Escalate significant compliance issues promptly.
Support the management of complaints and risk events.
Assist in anti-money laundering and financial crime monitoring.
Prepare reports and documentation for Governance Committees, and the Board.
Support the Head of Compliance in all related risk and compliance matters
Person Specification
Ability to be a team player
Experience in risk and compliance within financial services (FCA-regulated), specifically consumer credit
Practical experience in assurance/monitoring work re Consumer Duty & AML
Confident interpreting regulation and advising the business
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
Experience working with senior stakeholders
Desirable:
Exposure to Regulatory reporting
A keenness to establishing new frameworks, processes etc
Qualifications (preferred):
Compliance/AML related qualification
Regulatory Responsibilities
In addition to any specific regulatory obligations, this role is subject to the FCA’s Conduct Rules under the Senior Managers and Certification regime (SM&CR). All employees both permanent and temporary are expected to:
