We are currently recruiting for a Senior Events Planning Manager to join our Sales team at The Londoner, our super-boutique hotel.
Overview:
* As a Senior Events Planning Manager, you will participate in the implementation & success of business strategies for MICE, social events & groups at The Londoner hotel.
* You will oversee all Planning Managers & Executives: managing the diary from a planning perspective, ensuring an even workload, and the delivery of exceptional & detailed customer service.
* Plan all event and hotel experience details with the client - including set-up, food and beverage selection, menu tastings, audio visual needs, equipment rental, supplier details &/or referral, guestroom reservations, transportation, recreational activities, etc. – and anticipate client needs while making suggestions to create a unique and memorable experience.
* Recognise upselling opportunities to actively maximise revenue in all areas (e.g. increasing average check, upselling additional food and beverage, meeting room rental, transportation, Spa).
* As a Senior Planning & Social Sales Manager, you will identify and define the event, dates, times, function space requirement, expected attendance, flow, budget, client expectations and level of influence and decision-making power of contacts in the customer organisation and use these to secure business.
* Maximise event revenue opportunities in all F&B outlets
* Support the Director of Groups & Events to continuously review & improve planning standards and procedures
About you:
* Current events management experience within a luxury hotel or events venue.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* Understanding of the strategic positioning of all group hotels and the company within the competitive market.
* Aware of latest products in the market.
* Proficient computer skills.
* Confidence and the ability to communicate & establish rapport.
* Managerial skills-including the ability to foster teamwork and communicate effectively.
* Ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources.
* Ability to assign tasks using such techniques and needs analysis, individual skills assessment, objective setting and communication.
* Strong negotiation skills.
